Your first EURES job - Targeted Mobility Scheme

NAE, the Public Employment Service of Romania/EURES Romania is co-applicant within the EU project Your

first EURES job – Targeted Mobility Scheme until January 2017. The Public Employment Service of

Sweden/EURES Sweden is the administrator and lead-applicant of the project. The project is run by 8 different

countries together in a Consortium: Sweden, Slovenia, Ireland, Romania, Denmark, Finland, Portugal and the

Azores. The project covers all of the EU28 EFTA/EEA countries (Iceland and Norway).

Our project only supports jobs, not traineeships and apprenticeships.

 

Jobseeker - find a job

Find your job through the EURES portal where available jobs from all European member states are published.

If you add your CV to the site, registered employers can find your specific competence. You can contact any

of the 8 countries in the Consortium to get information about the project and current job opportunities. For

further job matching towards jobs in Europe you may also contact your local EURES Adviser.

Through our project you can apply for financial support if you are invited to go for a job interview in another

EU28 EFTA/EEA country (Iceland and Norway). And if you get a job and move to one of these countries, you

can apply for financial support to get settled in your new country. Other support measures: recognition of

qualifications; language course; supplementary relocation allowance.

 

You have to be:

- aged 18-35

- citizen of an EU28 EFTA/EEA country (Iceland and Norway)

- legally resident in an EU28 EFTA/EEA country (Iceland and Norway) and apply for a job in another EU28

EFTA/EEA country (Iceland and Norway).

 

Go for a job interview

Through Your first EURES job you can apply for financial support for a job interview in another EU28 EA/EFTA

country (Iceland and Norway) if you are invited by an employer. You can also get a paid interview trip within

your country of residence if it is recruitment towards a job in another EU28 EEA/EFTA country (Iceland and

Norway) and if you have a considerable travel distance.

 

Conditions:

- you are between 18-35 years of age

- you are a citizen of an EU28 EEA/EFTA country (Iceland and Norway)

- you are a legal resident in an EU EEA/EFTA country (Iceland and Norway) and apply for a job in another

EU EEA/EFTA country (Iceland and Norway)

- you must apply for the financial support before the date of the job interview, the financial support cannot be

provided retroactively

- the job applied for must have a duration of at least 6 months

- the working hours must be at least 50 percent of a normal working week

- that you do not receive paid travel from the employer or other project or authority.

Please note that you will be obliged to reimburse the whole amount if you do not travel to the interview and if

you do not have duly motivated and lawful reasons to do so. If that happens please inform us immediately.

 

When you have been offered a job

You can apply for financial support if you relocate to another EU28 EFTA/EEA country (Iceland and Norway) to

start a new job. The support covers costs towards travel and temporary accommodation during your first stay

in the country. You cannot receive the same kind of support from both your employer and from the project. But

it is possible for you to choose not to accept support from your employer and then apply for support from the

project instead.

 

Conditions:

- you are between 18-35 years of age

- you are a citizen of any of the EU28 EFTA/EEA countries (Iceland and Norway)

- you are a legal resident in any of the EU EFTA/EEA countries (Iceland and Norway) and apply for job in

another EU EFTA/EEA country (Iceland and Norway)

- you must apply for financial support before you leave your country and before the starting date of the new job

- the financial support cannot be paid retroactively and you cannot apply after you have moved to your new

country

- the job applied for must have a duration of at least 6 months and you are expected to stay the whole period

- the working hours must be at least 50 percent of a normal working week

- wages and work conditions must be in accordance with national labour market law and praxis, such as

collective agreements or minimum wage

- that your employer or other project do not pay for your travel nor for temporary accommodation during your

first stay

- that you do not apply for or accept a job which entails that you are employed in one country and posted in

another country.

 

Please note that you will be obliged to reimburse the whole amount if you do not start your new job or if you

leave your job before 6 months, if you do not have duly motivated and lawful reasons to do so. If that happens

please inform us immediately.

Employer

You can apply for financial support when you employ a young person aged 18-35 from another EU28 FTA/EEA

country (Iceland and Norway). The financial support is given for language training, job introduction or in-house

training.

The amount of the financial support is depending on in which country you offer employment.

Please contact a Eures Adviser to get help with your recruitment.

 

Conditions

- you are a small or medium sized company/organisation with a maximum of 250 employees

- you are legally registered in any of the EU28 EFTA/EEA countries (Iceland and Norway)

- the person you offer employment to is between the age of 18-35 and a citizen in another EU28 EFTA/EEA

country (Iceland and Norway)

- you offer employment for a minimum of six months

- you offer wages and work conditions in accordance with national labour market law and praxis, such as

collective agreements or minimum wage

- the working hours you offer must be at least 50 percent of a normal working week

- you do not offer work in one country and thereafter send out your employee to work in another country, so

called posted worker

- the introduction must start during the new employee┬┤s initial three weeks of work.
